Hilda cursed as her fire sailed wide on the red prick. Hold still, bastard! she cursed as he wheeled to gun for her. Scheitze she snarled as the intensity of fire towards her came in rapid and continuous, Anderson's voice ringing in her ears. OK, so he killed one, good for the Black Leg she thought as she weaved through the pattern of fire at her. Anderson directed her towards the big guy, and she snarled back "Kinda busy here" in an annoyed tone.
Still, though, Anderson had engaged the red one on her, and that left the big shooter all fat, dumb, and happy... but not where I'd like to see him... damn she thought as she stowed the saber and pulled out her recharged beam pistol. She quickly ripped fire off at the prick, still ducking the potshots from the other Titan shit still firing on her as more beam fire filled the stars... ____

The arrival of a reinforcement machine was hardly encouraging to Julian. While making up for the loss of Jaime in terms of simple numbers, he couldn't help but feel that this assistance would've been helpful before the Magi team had suffered its first real casualty. It was almost more insulting that this new arrival's real purpose was to be a messenger telling them to retreat. What a waist of time!
Having managed a lucky shot that removed the enemy sniper's bazooka from the equation, Julian switched his focus to the enemy Dom-type that he had tangled with before. It seemed that the AEUG weren't going to let them go so easily and that suited the Australian lieutenant just fine. After all, he had been intending to act a s a rear-guard for as long as possible anyway.
Swiftly avoiding the ineffectual shot from its beam pistol, he readied his own weapon. Waiting for the positive tone of a lock-on, he unleashed a heavy burst of fire at the red Mobile Suit. He didn't let off the trigger until his weapon ran dry, all the while spotting the sniper charging forward to engage him with a beam saber. If he was going to get into a close and personal fight then he wanted to make sure at least one of his opponents was being forced to keep their distance.

The fleeing enemy unit had managed to avoid Fred's fire, but was swiftly taken down by Anderson anyway, so they got one of the bastards already. He'd have rathered landing the killing shot himself, but the prick was still dead so it didn't matter too much. Although, he paid the price for going after that unit when the GM he had been dealing with fired at him again, and managed yet another hit on his machine, destroying the right leg. Still, losing the other leg from his machine was a small price to pay for a dead Titan, even ifmit would impact his mobility even further.
He had to deal with the bazooka for now, it was out of ammo after all, so he held it in place with what was left of the left arm, before oading a fresh magazine into the weapon and grabbing it in the right hand once again. He turned back to face the enemy machine again, and fired off several rockets at the GM Quel, getting another one of these pricks would be nice, but he seemed to be missing a lot in this engagement so far, probably due to his unfamiliarity with the bazooka. He'd been stupid to not bring a weapon he was more skilled with, like the beam rifle, but there wasn't a thing he could do about it right now, he had to make do with what he had and land a hit on this prick.

What Gage saw was equivalent to a bull witnessing a matador. In the back of his minds, the words Kill! Kill! Kill! reverberated- beckoning an end to this moment of agonizing hesitation. The junior officer vice gripped the controls and went in for the kill.
"You killed him!"
The shot didn't matter. He used the rifle arm to take the blow while the Marasai closed the remaining distance at an alarming speed. His mobile suit rotated clockwise; Bringing the full brunt of his beam saber into whatever it was that stood before him. Maybe next time his opponent wouldn't be so quick to venture into close range.

Kyle had backed away after being shot at, his mobile suit's verniers slowed the unit to a stop at the edge of the battlefield. He was told to just let the others know to retreat, not to engage at the battle. The loss of the main weapon mean he was in a jam in terms of not being able to fight. "Screw it, we don't leave comrades to die.." he told himself. Instead relaying a message to the mother ship. "Retreat is difficult at this moment, due to the engaged state our forces are in." he sent the message to the mother ship. Trouble was going to follow, but he didn't care, saving his fellow Titans took importance at this point.
Kyle threw the throttle forward, the GM Quel's thrusters coming to live as it dashed back into the battlefield. He was heading towards the thick of it, where he watched two pairs of mobile suits fighting at close and medium ranges. He wasn't going to let it be like last time, his GM Quel zipped about rapidly as he threw in a set of maneuvers. Barrel rolling to the left, then boosting downward followed by a diagonal dash to the right. Without a main weapon to fire he knew he could focus on evading any potential fire until he got close.

Over the course of the combat, both teams had drifted back towards the area where both battle groups were circling each other, trading long-range fire, Lynch and Langstrom waiting for the other man to flinch first before committing their mobile suits or escorts to give them a crack at the capital unit opposite them in a classic opening to a combat between full battle groups. Of course, no plan survives contact with the enemy... especially when it isn't clear who the enemy is. Both MS teams would see eight mobile suits their computers couldn't identify rising from the Lunar surface towards them, and a second group of eight speeding towards the ships...
Anaheim Electronics Epsilon Gundam Phoenix One
Kou looked down at his displays, biting his lower lip. There's an awful lot of combat power out here. If Corporate is wrong and they tell us to suck vacuum, its going to be a long day, even with our superior hardware to their mostly up-modded War relics he thought, glancing at Keith's Guncannon Detector next to him, and the six other ultramodern Anaheim units in company with them as they drove towards the furball right in Anaheim's prime testing grounds. Another 8 suits were headed for the battle groups, but the little fracas that Zodiac and Magi squadrons were engaged in was right on Anaheim's doorstep, to the point where stray rounds might damage Corporate interests. That meant Kou's team was here first, and he gritted his teeth as he opened up a widecast comm that would reach every pilot on the battlefield. Courtesy of the comms relays the second team was dropping, both battle groups would also hear the clear, cool voice of the man who flew the Federation's Gundam during Operation Stardust.
"Attention hostile units, this is Chief Test Pilot Kou Uraki of Anaheim Electronics. You are trespassing on private property and endangering innocent life as well as Company property. You will cease fire and withdraw to your carriers immediately, or we will defend our assets" he said flatly, not sure which side of this one he really wanted to be on. On the one hand, the Titans are stomping out the Zeon, and the Albion team did join up with them. On the other hand, if half the rumors about Federals in the AEUG are true... whatever, not my fight he thought as he re-keyed the widecast. "Oh, and anyone who doesn't cease fire immediately... well, trust me, you want to stop firing"

GM Rechts Gemini One
Jim snarled in triumph as his salvo struck pay dirt, scoring good hits on the red bastard. That's what happens when you fuck with the Tiger, son he thought with a smile. Jim skated right, watching the counterfire sail through the empty space where he'd been a few seconds ago. You're next, bastard he thought. Of course, then his sensor board howled at him, and his earbug warbled with an unfamiliar voice. Uraki... I've heard that name before. Something about a project that was blacked out by Bask in the wake of Stardust... and he has 8 hostiles with him. Oh, this is not good... he knew, biting his lip.
It went against the grain, but with how riven his squad was, those 8 new units - including a Gundam, if power readings were any indicator - would rip through his team like shit through a goose. Jim sighed, letting his finger fall off the trigger as he transmitted to the AEUG team. "Group, Leader, CEASE FIRE CEASE FIRE CEASE FIRE. Bug out vector is 2-3-4 mark 0-2-5 to return to the Polaris" he called to the AEUG team before reaching for widecast comms.
"Anaheim Team, this is Lieutenant Commander Anderson of the AEUG. We are complying with instructions to return to base. We will, however, return fire if the Titans do not honor this ceasefire, and we will continue killing them" he said, an edge of steel in his voice as he identified himself and declared his intentions on the same channel the Titans could hear. And that'll piss them all off if they hear that one of their own is here, leading an AEUG team... he knew, smiling as he watched what the Titans would do... ____

A sly grin crossed the mercenary's face. He keyed in to an open channel from the communications display on his Messala. "Chief Test Pilot Uraki, I'm Auxiliary Officer Paptimus Scirroco. I hope you can forgive our transgressions. You see, ever since I've arrived here, I've had a keen interest in visiting Anaheim. Those present were kind enough to escort me. It was by pure accident that we stumbled into a patrol, and were unaware that we were encroaching on your airspace. I take full responsibility. I hope you can forgive our transgressions. We'll cease fire and return our warship- permitting that our skipper is in concordance with my opinion. We do not wish to fight, as it was never our intention in the first place."

Rick Dias Taurus Leader
Eddy was in the midst of selecting his next target when an unfamiliar voice came through on comms, demanding that both groups cease fire and withdraw to their carriers or face reprisals from Anaheim. What kind of reprisals does this nobody think he can deliver? Then he looked at the dashboard and realized the gravity of the situation. Eight mechs waiting on the surface, eight mechs roaring toward us, all of them probably ultra-modern and one with power readings equivalent to a Gundam-class...yeah, we’re outgunned, outmaneuvered and outmatched.
It didn’t take long for Anderson to issue the command for Zodiac to break away and withdraw back to the Polaris. Eddy gave a signal of quiet acknowledgement with the Rick Dias’ monoeye, flipping the clay bazooka around and storing it on the backpack and finishing by raising his shield to indicate a purely defensive posture from this point on. If it weren’t for the fact that Anaheim was their prime benefactor in the fight against the Titans, Eddy would lay into Mr. Nobody for getting involved.
As a new player, Scirocco did his best to portray the Titans as the wounded party in this firefight with eerie calm and smoothness to Mr. Nobody, Eddy opened a secure channel to Anderson, his voice filled with barely restrained scorn. “Just when things were starting to swing in our favor for once, huh? I wonder what prompted Anaheim to show the flag and go paramilitary on us. Even deploying a brand-new Gundam seems a bit much, boss.”

Asshimar Melchior Three
Any sense of satisfaction that Julian may have had from damaging the AEUG Dom-type rapidly faded as an unfamiliar voice blasted over the radio, overriding all other transmissions. Seconds later several teams of unidentified Mobile Suits charged towards the battlefield. At first he had assumed them to belong to the enemy, after all they certainly weren't models employed by the Titans, but that changed once the apparent leader of the team announced who they were and why they were here?
"Anaheim?" grumbled Julian to himself, "So now they decide to jump in? If they had acted sooner then Jaime might still be alive, corporate bastards."
The idea that they were intervening because of threats to AE property and assets was laughable at the least. If that were really the case then they could've stopped the fighting way earlier. No, Julian was sure that there was something else going on behind the scheme here. Though whether the Anaheim big-wigs were working with the AEUG or Jamitov in the shadows was anyone's guess. As for Uraki? Julian felt like the name was familiar, something he remembered that alcoholic Monsha muttering about during their time serving together, but it hardly mattered.
Before any of the Magi Team even had a chance to reply to the ultimatum, Scirocco's voice came over the comms to announce that the Titans would be complying with the decision. More than that, he apologized for what had happened and tried to make it sound like a simple mistake. A 'mistake' that a comrade had died for. If it were any other situation Julian would've been sure that no one would buy the Jovian's excuse but with everything that had happened in the past month the Australian didn't know what to believe.
Clicking his teeth, Julian hissed, "Scirocco, you bastard..."
Despite his personal feelings on the situation, he still realized he had no choice to comply. Lowering his Asshimar's arm and enabling the safety, he announced, "This is Lieutenant Miller of Magi Team, we're complying and disengaging." Switching the channel over so that only his team members would be able to hear he added, "Let's go. We're done here. This isn't over."

At the wave of a hand, he ordered the Polaris to comply with the ceasefire. Two flares were launched- a signifier to his answer to all of this. "Zodiac Squadron, get back here. We really don't want to test their patience.

"No. That should be enough. As long as they get the message."
"That's alright. We wouldn't want any of our test pilots getting hurt, right?"
"You're right. You're right. Maybe we should have dinner at that one place next- Dorsia. Yeah. That sounds great Hans, thanks again."
The aging gentlemen in the suit finally hung up the phone. He continued to watch the scene unfold from his monitors.
"Now then, who is worthy of Excalibur?"

When her opponent fired on her, Katharyn went evasive instantly, using her shield and what limited manevuerability she had left to narrowly evade the enemy attack while at the same time opening up the range as much as possible.
Then, while the battle raged, a new player arrived.
“Kou Uraki…” She knew that name, somehow. However much the Federation had tried to clamp down on the events of 0083, she had witnessed firsthand the nuclear attack on Solomon, and the subsequent colony drop. And in spite of the black-out, she had heard rumours. She did not have known its significance, but she vaguely recalled the name Kou Uraki having surfaced in connection with the events of Operation Stardust.
Then fate threw her another curveball. “Jim Anderson.” She muttered, her fists rightly clenching her controls. She bit her lip. She had precious little time to dwell on this development, as Miller’s orders came through. She complied immediately - not because of any particular respect for Miller, but because in her condition, continued battle was a stupid idea. And she may have been reckless, but she was not stupid. Swallowing her rage and disappointment at the confirmation of her suspicions, she began to fall back, but she could not resist one last parting shot, broadcast on the same frequency.
“Go fuck yourself, Anderson - Zeke-lovers and cowards don’t get to claim the moral high ground” She spat bitterly. “It still took three of you traitors to take one of ours. Next time, you won’t get so lucky." Then she cut the link and bugged out. She did not say what she really thought. Should she get even half a chance...she'd take him out herself.
