During the One Year War, A Baoa Qu was one of the three asteroid fortresses used by the Duchy of Zeon. In the final days of the conflict, a decisive battle took place here that resulted in the deaths of both Kycilia and Gihren Zabi. The Republic of Zeon transferred ownership to the Titans several years after.

On the far side of the Moon is Side 3, which is known as Munzo. This side was home to the Republic of Zeon and then subsequently the Duchy of Zeon. Their push for independence from the Earth Federation the One Year War. After their defeat, Side 3 regained its independence as the Republic of Zeon, whose autonomy would last until UC 0100.
