“No brakes, there just aren’t any brakes on this train,” Ben whooped as yet another round slammed home into one of the Titans. The results were right in front of him and he could hardly believe that he was doing all this. He certainly came a long way from first deployment in North America, disabled and knocked out on his ass by some sniper. Now, here he was, picking apart Titans like he had been doing it his entire life. Not bad for the watchman.
“I hear ya,” he said as the last round of his clip cycled into the bazooka, ready for one final shot. Twisting the controls, the GM Rechts twisted around as its eternal pursuer poured on the fire, slamming into its shield. “Alright pal, let’s give this a rest,” he smirked, eyes glued to the scope. It was rough with the Quel so close but now it was do or die time and Ben was positive he’d only get one good shot. With the Quel’s remaining arm in sight, Ben pulled the trigger, keying up the open comms in tune with it, “Cheers from the 232nd Mobile Corps!”

"Damn it!"
Julian felt utterly helpless as he watched Jaime's apparent suicide charge fail spectacularly, the AEUG pilots continuing to tear his machine apart as he was left totally exposed and surrounded. Even the GM-type that had been firing on him had switched it's focus to Jaime, joining in on the lynch-mob that was threatening to end his life. While he could respect the common-sense tactics of finishing off an opponent (after all, letting them survive would only allow them to return later), he couldn't stand what he saw almost as bullying. What challenge was their in picking off a helpless foe?
Still, he knew his outrage at the apparent lack of honor was just a manifestation of feeling helpless to help Jaime. Though he wasn't a huge fan of the Ensign he was still a comrade and he had no desire to see him come to harm. As he watched what he could only assume would be Jaime's death unfold before his eyes, Julian had flashbacks to the horrors of A Baoa Que and the feelings he had experienced as he had been powerless to save the lives of many of his comrades in the 232nd Mobile Corps. It was happening all over again and he couldn't stand it.
As Gage rushed forward in the hopes of somehow saving Jaime's life, Julian likewise joined the charge. Pushing his machine's thrusters to their max, he launched forward to try and close the distance with the AEUG battle-group and engage them at close range where he was far more confident in his skills. He was saving his shots for until he got there, praying that he would make it in time to save the Ensign's life.
"Come on Neston," he hissed under his breath, "Don't you die on us!"

Hilda watched the idiot skate right past her and neatly sandwich himself between two AEUG formations. She tracked her pistol fire into him, smiling as she scored. And he just keeps going... no situational awareness. He's right between two lines of us, with the nearest of his still well clear. He's toast... she thought, hearing Anderson warning her about a shooter drawing a bead on her. Scheitze! she cursed, slewing her Dias over, yawing to get eyes on the new unit firing at her. She clawed for position, but couldn't quite get around fast enough, and the shot lanced through her leg, neatly cleaving it off. "Bastard" she cursed as she regained control of her suit.
Well, I suppose that its your turn now she thought, angling towards the prick with her pistols still drawn. She steadied up, targeting systems locking in as both pistols drew down on the new unit, brackets jittering as they picked up a solid lock. Eat this you fuck she thought, spraying fire from both pistols for the other guy as she laid down fire to cover the team working to finish the overconfident Titan.

After the spectacular failure his last bit of shooting had been, his original target broke off and went for Steiner, as she seemed to be wrecking one of his pals. He wanted to follow after the new model and kill it himself, but the other prick in the GM continued after him, and he didn't want to ignore that thing to go after the red one. Besides, he saw Regard had started firing on the red thing as well before he turned his attention back to the GM, which was apparently just in time as it had once again fired at him, although this time he had managed to avoid the GM's attack since he hadn't been caught off guard like last time. Plus, he was still in a good range to press the attack now, even if this machine hadn't been his first choice for a target.
He wasn't doing quite as bad as that one Titan machine, although the lowered maneuverability of his Rick Dias, due to the damage, was already pissing him off, as it was noticeably slower when he'd needed to move. "I'm gonna pay you back for that hit asshole." he said before turning both of his beam pistols on the enemy unit. So far he wasn't a huge fan of the beam pistols, besides having two of them, because he knew the weapons didn't hold much of a charge and they were short ranged, but they'd have to do for now since he didn't want to miss his shot by changing to the bazooka, so once he'd lined up the shot, he fired both of the weapons at the enemy machine.

A well placed shot took out his leg, stifling his chances of trumping his opponent. His friend, his only friend, was endangered by the impossible circumstances that surrounded him.
"Damn you! I'll send you all to hell!"
His bellowing voice came over the channel for everyone to hear. For a moment, Gage saw nothing but red. The stretch of a black horizon over the hellscape of the lunar surface became a blood meridian. A god of war envied the freedom of those who transgressed upon these battlegrounds. He was about to claim ownership of them. The cockpit stifled the echoes of his yells from ever reaching the distance enemies. It was all he could hear. It was all he could do. And all he saw was rage.
Mid flight, the red mobile suit pivoted to fire on Daniel's second attacker with its beam rifle. It was not slowing down.

Jaime yanked hard on his controls, ignoring the taunt from the guy who joined in on the party that apparently had been planned to teabag him, despite oh so many other players in the field. Jaime managed to duck that fire as he continued towards his main target, the sniper who was currently three for three on every single shot he had fired.
I can’t believe not a single other person even tried shooting at the prick considering how accurate he is.
But Jaime was in the perfect range now. He knew from experience that bulky weaponry like the bazooka that miserable bastard was firing now had a low magazine volume, and it had some significant problems when turned to enemies at close range. So he was surprised when his intended target, still having not moved from his perch where he had shot successfully at Holcroft from, instead chose to pause, and take an intended sight on him.
No…it cant. The range…everything. No no no…
The enemy machine raised its bazooka.
No no no…
And fired.
Oh Jesus Christ!
In spite of Jaime’s logic, the enemy machine’s shot ripped home, shattering his remaining arm.
Well, at least I still have my CIWS! Maybe I have a chance to knock out his weap-
Alarms suddenly shrieked in error alarms, telling him that his CIWS was now offline.
“How does that fucking happen? No, seriously, how does a fucking limb getting hit simultaneously knock out two CIWS barrels?!?That makes absolutely zero goddamn sense!”
But there was little time to ruminate on what could have been the cause. Jaime suddenly had to try to stabilize the remnants of his Quel, trying to drown out the now constant scream of alarms.
I would have taken death in a final assault of glory. But now. Now…
There was still one thing, the thing that Jaime had been reminded of at the start of this debacle…the actual objective of the mission. Jaime used his remaining thrusters to bank hard. While he had no weapons left, his head mounted camera was still intact and functioning.
Now, I’ll live in disgrace…if I can.
Jaime zigzagged, pointing his camera over the lunar surface, hoping desperately to gain something of use and to somehow, improbably, make his way back. --- Maneuver: Move (RUN AWAY!) Jim watched his fire go wide as the little idiot squirmed under his guns, snaking to line up on Ben. Thankfully, Ben managed to drop the hammer and blew the Black Leg's remaining weapons apart with another well-placed shot. "Good shot Regard, set for reattack and let's finish this prick. Eddy, crash right and outflank these bastards" he snapped, lining up a reattack himself on the prick.
"Where you going son? Come on, let's play!" he snapped over a widecast to the fleeing Titan as he dropped his pippers on target. Come on... take this fuckstick here and now... he thought. He got the two-tone of a good lock, squeezing his triggers as he sent more fire screaming at the bastard. Not letting a kill get away he thought.

Hilda permitted herself a snarl as the bastard in the pink unit snaked out of her line of fire. She spotted the one who'd thought he was some kind of action hero running like hell from the ENTIRE Zodiac team he'd decided to take on alone, smiling as Anderson and Regard poured fire into him. Well, he's covered. Think I'll pick one of these other tools. Let's see... you'll do she thought, slipping both of her pistols back into their recharge racks and pulling the bazooka back out, pivoting and jumping onto the big guy who was moving in to cover the suicidally overconfident bastard. Not today, asshat she thought, matching bearings with the prick and firing the bazooka as soon as she had the angle, sliding to clear a firing lane for Eddy on the bastard shooting at him.

Asshimar Melchior Three
Closing in on the AEUG GM-Type that had caused him so much trouble, Julian clicked his teeth in irritation as he saw it open fire on the helpless form of Jaime's machine. Even with the efforts of himself and Gage there was nothing they could really do. The Ensign was just too deep in the enemy formation and there were too many hostiles for them to get through. As much as he hated the thought Julian was beginning to understand that trying to save Jaime was a lost cause. Right now they just needed to make sure that more of their team didn't wind up in the same situation.
Raising his Asshimar's remaining arm and aiming the Beam Assault System mounted there at the back of the GM-Type, the presence of movement in the periphery of his 360-monitor alerted him to another enemy close by. The AEUG Mobile Suit, one of the big red ones that resembled some knock-off of the Dom at first glance, came to try and protect its teammate. The shot from its Bazooka went wide, however, and Julian was quick to switch his aim towards it.
"Not so fast! And now you're in my range!"
Reorienting his Asshimar towards the AEUG pilot, he let out a burst with the arm-mounted weapon. He felt his machine shudder as the Assault System let out a spray of pink energy at the Dom-type at close range, knowing full well that he had the advantage hear over his foe's bulkier weapon. For the majority of the engagement the AEUG had been simply toying with the Magi. Now it was time to return the favor.

Rick Dias Taurus LeaderFor a moment, Eddy thought he heard his ears ringing as a voice loudly bellowed out a declaration over the COM that he’d send them all to hell. He heard rage in the man’s voice, the kind that made a pilot dedicated, dangerous and sometimes, overconfident. He quickly issued his own challenge over the open channel, hoping the third word would play true. “In that case, we’re going to Hell listening to some damn good music. Ever heard of Duke Ellington?”Pulling out a small disc from a pouch on his suit’s belt, Eddy quickly slid it into a slot on the left armrest and smiled as a familiar song began playing out over an open channel, serving to keep the enemy off balance with white noise and giving him something to improve his focus. Seeing that the spiky red mech decided to counter Eddy’s attack with a beam shot, he raised his shield to soak up the beam with the shot landing right in the center, leaving a blackening scorch mark. I’m willing to lay a bet that’s the man making grandiose threats...I think some humbling is in order. With a look of quiet determination in his eyes and a wry smirk, Eddy kept his focus on the red spiky mech as he pulled up a targeting reticule on the forward monitor, took aim, and fired off another solid shell from his clay bazooka. “And let that be a lesson to you,” Ben taunted over the open channel as the Quel spun off wildly, its pilot finally getting the hint to take a hike. And to think, they kept rejecting my app. How’s that for hindsight? As Jim’s voice buzzed through yet again, Ben couldn’t help but feel for the Quel. Waltzed into the lion’s den for him and was about to pay for it with his life, possibly dragging part of his squad down with him. All kinds of pressure.
“Sorry but you guys are all bunched up, no clear shot. Force him out and I’ll nail him,” he called back as he loaded up another cartridge. I’d probably hit one of our own knowing my luck. Focusing instead on the duo that were rushing in to save their pal, the Rechts settled on the red one without a leg. LeNoire already struck it once and seemed like he was settling into a streak of his own, even playing a little something on the channel. “The Jeep’s Blues,” he grinned with a pull of the trigger, his 5th shot sailing off at its target, “You got some good taste, Eddy.”

If there was one thing that Kathryn Holcroft’s mentor, back in the days of the Monterey, had found that she had in spades, it was focus and determination. At the same time however, he had warned her that while it was one of her strengths, in combat it could also be her greatest weakness.
And so it proved here. So intent was she on her crippled opponent that she temporarily stopped paying attention to her surroundings - a mistake that was going to cost her dearly as alarms shrieked in her cockpit, forcing her to go defensive too late to avoid an attack from an enemy unit that had fired on her from outside her immediate field of vision. Her movement was enough - barely - to prevent a fatal strike. However, the shot slammed into the GM QUEL’s lower leg, obliterating it and throwing her off-balance for a precious few seconds, seconds that her own target, after avoiding her attack, took advantage of to open fire on her while closing in.
“Oh no you don't, you son of a…” She snarled, bringing her shield to bear and slamming the throttles to their stops, backpedaling to keep the range open between her and her quarry. Her shield soaked the beam pistol attack, and she countered instantaneously, firing her beam rifle directly at the enemy GM.

Who gave you permission to do as you please? Gage was playing against two opponents the whole time. One was at a disadvantage against him at this range. The incoming fire from Eddy's clay bazooka was met with anticipation. Gage wrestled the controls of his machine, reminding him that 60 metric ton machine was, albeit agile for suit, not built for acrobatics. That damn sniper wants in on the fun. I'll give you something to poke at, prick. HIs mobile suit corkscrewed clear of the shot, leaving him open for another attack.
The Marasai still held its beam saber in its left hand. Gage closed the remaining gap with Hilda and launched an attack in melee. If the Lieutenant was lucky, Eddy would try to close the distance to support her. The music was grating, after all- in perfect dissonance with his vision of the battle.

Jim rolled the GM in a lazy arc to port as his fire tracked for the little bugger. Bingo, setup for reattack he thought, glancing back at the rest of the team. The Titan unit was still playing things close, but at least one of them had separated to join in on the fun and try to save their critically wounded. Not on my watch, you clowns he thought as Regard shifted fire. "Regard, keep'em off me while I finish off Skippy here. Skate left and climb, shooters on you" he snapped, still strangely untouched as he let the prick open the range a bit. "Where you going, boy?" he called, goosing his engines to pursue - but unlike the other prick, there was a mixed unit behind him with a clear escape vector if he got in too deep. Jim sprayed fire as he closed, the bolts of Minovsky particles illuminating the night as he went in for the kill...
