History
Anaheim's first effort at a transformable mobile suit, the Methuss, was delivered virtually untested to the AEUG's Argama task force. While its transformation system allowed for impressive speed, easy handling, and flight in a gravity well, the early feedback from AEUG pilots Emma Sheen and Apolly Bay indicated that it was undergunned compared to its contemporaries. Anaheim's internal reports admitted they went too light on weaponry for it, and the Methuss Kai was the resulting update of their first transforming unit. While not quite as quick as the original Methuss, the improved firepower of the Methuss Kai makes the unit into an excellent all-around unit. Its Hyper Beam Cannon makes it an effective long-range sniper and antishipping unit, while the beam assault guns give it a viable option at shorter ranges. Coupled with the high speeds its mobile armor mode offers it, this gives the Methuss Kai the ability to control the range and manage the battlefield better than most contemporary units.
