"Very well. You can watch and listen, but let me do it my way. That's all I ask."[/color]
The short walk back to the brig was ended by Quattro shutting the door behind him. Anderson could hear his captor slowly approach the jail cell. There was an eerie pause as he stopped to look at him.
"What's the matter? Are you normally this capricious when sober?"

"I'll kill as many as I can." he said before shrugging in regards to his comment about learning to pilot defensively. Lately he'd been largely ignored once the shooting started, not that he was about to complain, but he knew that things were different compared to the war, Zeon Mobile Suits were stuck with machine guns and bazookas, which was what the shield was for, but these days everyone had a beam weapon. You needed to be able to avoid those things, blocking them didn't do any good, on the ground he was fine but in space he still had quite a bit to learn considering he'd only fought in space a few times.
"I'll work on it. But see ya man." he said to Anderson before he turned to leave, as he was leaving he saw the guy LeNoire had been talking to and Steiner walk in, they went right into Anderson's cell. At first Fred was concerned that she was going to kill Anderson after all, but then he realized that there was no way she'd do so without Langstrom's approval, and definitely not now that he was already in the brig. He'd just need to come back and check in on Anderson later, he did still need to go and make sure his unit was getting a resupply, he didn't need any repairs but he did need fuel and ammo. So he went on his way back to the hanger to check on the status of his machine.

Jim was still reminiscing about 'the good old days' when he'd been a Titan, fiddling with his DGC, when Castle spoke up. "See that you do, Castle. Good hunting" he said plainly, not really caring anymore. No matter what happens here, I'm gonna get bounced out of this team he thought, shrugging. At least I kept the Kid alive, and managed to keep that damned nuke away from the bastards he figured, flipping the medal up into the air and catching it.
An unfamiliar voice spoke up as he caught the medal again. Will looked up to see some Commander he'd never met looking in on him, asking stupid questions. He shrugged without getting up from the bunk. "Something like that, Commander Sunglasses" he said with obvious sarcasm. "Of course, to hear Eddy go on about it I haven't been sober since he's met me. Good luck if you want to try fixing that" he said. For emphasis, he pulled the flask out of his flight bag and hoisted in in toast to the Commander. "To killing Black Legs, Shades" he said before taking a good pull.

Heh. Shades is a drinker too... Jim thought, smiling thinly at the thought. The smile vanished, though, as Shades asked a question that he wasn't quite comfortable (to put it mildly) answering to a total stranger. "Regrets? Yeah, I regret getting caught and getting chucked in this damned jail cell, leaving those kids to languish under Kommandante Steiner" he said flippantly. "And I regret not putting down every Black Leg I had in my sights during all of the three sorties I got to make before I get thrown to the spooks, assuming that I don't get a spacewalk without a normal suit" he said, leaning back on the bunk, interlacing his fingers behind his head as he stared up at the ceiling.

We're soldiers- merely actors improvising our subjugation of enemies on improvised stages. As long as you are aware, I don't think Steiner or Langstrom will be having any objections."He sealed up his flask before making his way to the exit. Shades already had a good look at their prisoner. "Just remember: If you came here seeking retribution, you will not find it."

Watching as Castle and Regard quietly began to escort Anderson off to the brig and Hilda stormed off in barely contained icy rage, Eddy decided to leave the area as well, wanting to get his mind off the negativity that seemed to be around every corner today. As he was about to exit back into the hangar deck, he stumbled, managing to catch himself at the last moment. He felt tired and anyone with a sharp pair of eyes could see how terrible he looked.
Well, seeing as there’s no accommodations aboard... Letting out a loud yawn and rubbing his eyes, Eddy quietly walked over to the berth where his Rick Dias was parked. It looked almost pristine compared to most of the squadron’s mechs, along with most of the survivors from the failed invasion. Climbing up the ladder to the umbilical bridge, Eddy opened the cockpit hatch and climbed inside, choosing to leave the hatch open as he crossed his arms across his chest, lifted up his shades over his forehead and closed his eyes to try and get some shut-eye.

Shades waxed poetic about how there was nothing special about him. Just another war... right... he thought, a faraway look in his eyes as he contemplated. "I''m not a soldier anymore, Shades. I lost the right to call myself that a long time ago" he said quietly. "I'm just a damned idiot trying to stop the Black Legs. Revenge can piss up a rope. Bask Om, Jamitov, that whole lot - they need to be stopped" he said, steel touching his voice near the end of his words.
