History
In the wake of the AEUG's daring attack on Gryps Two, and the abysmal performance of the GM series units stationed for security against the AEUG's new Rick Dias units, Admiral Hymen went outside normal channels and contracted Anaheim Electronics to get a replacement for the GM Quel into space - quickly - to avoid sending his pilots out in inferior units. The GM Titan was the result.
Anaheim Electronics promises the resemblance to the Gundam Mk II is only superficial. Despite that claim, the movable frame technology in the Titan is evident. The Titan breathes new life into the aging GM series of mobile suits, only keeping the barest aesthetics while adding moveable frame technology, a whole new, integrated power system, and a potent selection of weapons to select. The handful of test pilots that have flow it have enjoyed the experience, and Jamitov is pressing Anaheim to get as many of these units produced as fast as possible...
