Kyle Driscoll is a soldier who has a touch of rebel in him, along with a strong sense of truth. He is honest to a fault, doesn't matter who he speaks to or about he is truthful. This makes him abrasive to some, and very difficult to get along with.
History
Kyle Driscoll was born in midyear of UC 0061, a single child in a family with two working parents. Most of his infant years he spent being raised by a caretaker and parents when they were around. Growing older, Kyle become more self aware of his status and self sufficient because of the lack of guidance as he grew up. Soon he was caring for himself to the point of planning his future without any hints to his parents of what he wanted.
The years passed through the Universal Century, seeing Kyle raise from child to teenager, and then to an adult. It was around the age of eighteen Alex had joined the military. A bit of spite against his parents who wanted him to take over the business the family had over time built up. He saw action as a soldier in the infantry corps, then transfered into an armored division to broaden his experience.
As the One Year War began, it would prove to be a fearful time for Kyle. Between the low rate of survivor for tank crews and the ever looming threat of the Cyclops. Kyle found himself in a place and time where he had to grow a sturdy shell around himself. It wasn't until the loss of his unit at the hands a pair of Cyclops, Kyle changed. Revenge and anger filled his motives as he over and over again applied himself to the Federation's mobile suit programs.
In a short time, his prior achievements as a profound infantryman earned him a seat in a mobile suit. Kyle pushed himself hard in order to ensure he would make the Zeon's pay for the war they brought out in the name of "Freedom". His hate and loathing of them his only remaining drive to keep fighting after losing so much. He would help storm the Zeon during Operation Odessa, counting his first mobile suit kill during that battle. While not transfered to Jaburo in time to aid with the defense. Kyle would be sent there to be shipped to space for the attack on Solomon.
Solomon would shed logic onto Kyle, as when the battle had calmed. He witnessed the same thing he had gone through. A fearful crew of Zeons, in the position the young pilot had been just months before at the start of the war. It was at this point, he requested a leave from the front to the rear line defense duties of the Earth Federation.
Witnessing himself become what he had hated most in a sense, greatly affected the man. He found himself slowly dropping off as the war drew to a close and the hunt for the Remnants on the Earth began. Over the years he would aid in the Remnant Hunts, Kyle become more confused. Was the Federation wrong? Were the Zeon right?
He was left in a state of confusion up until the year of Stardust UC 0083. When he had been transfered to space under orders to join the patrol forces. With the Zeon Remnants launching in space launching into another short, but fierce conflict with the Federation. His unit being on the receiving end of a Zeon Remnant ambush, the lose of another unit drove him back to a hatred of the Zeon. The witnessing of the same mistakes of the One Year War and the pointless bloodshed driving Kyle to a rage during the battle.
The recovery team would arrive only to find Kyle drifting not far from his heavily damaged mobile suit. He was staring towards Earth where another colony had been dropped onto the surface by the Zeons. The remains of his unit, and the Zeons littered around giving the impression of the battle. From the point of view of his mobile suit's camera, the battle was captured. It was documented that all Zeons, those able to fight and those who could not were destroyed. When questioned, Kyle simple stated "They were fools who didn't deserve power. Warped by a twisted sense of justice and blighted by ideals."
While at first he was being selected for discharge from the Earth Federation. Kyle was picked up by the newly formed Titans, for his skill in defeating the Zeon patrol. Along with his new driven goal of keeping a force that would keep the Zeon's in check. Holding them at bay from ever foolishly starting a needless war ever again.
