By now, the smoke covering the monolith in a dark silhouette began ti dissipate. At its top was man with one leg propped up on the cockpit hatch. He posed gallantly at the crowd below. That purple hair, that self assuring smirk, that aura of confidence. There was no mistake, he was that exceptional man they hired. Nothing escaped that calculating gaze. Gage unconsciously scratched the back of his neck as he looked upon him. Gage. Holcroft. Sinclair. Miller.
"My name is Paptimus Scirocco. You must be the Magi."
The man from Jupiter gracefully disembarked from his machine by floating down from his vantage point. His uniform was nonstandard- it only slightly resembled a traditional Titan uniform. For starters, it was much more elaborate. It was tailor fit- designed to gracefully adhere to his body. People began to ask: why wasn't he wearing a normal suit, while piloting a mobile suit?

Well that was the spirit, Victoria smiled as Katharyn replied. Both defiant, yet agreeable just what you needed in a unit like this. If they all had the same way of doing things they'd be little better then finely tuned robots. The differences helped and to make an even bigger splash a mobile armor arrived on scene pulling the lieutenant's attention away before Katharyn moved by with an apology. The new arrival and Holcroft moving was all that she needed to warrant turning around fully to see the purple behemoth. "My someone has quite the budget." It wasn't every day you saw this amount of money go into something like a mobile armor, even the new suit Julian had gotten could transform into a mobile suit.
While curiosity continued to stir, it would be the pilot's appearance that ultimately took the cake of the situation. Definitely the dashing type that would have fangirls waiting and from the way he presented himself definitely one who was shy or reserved and wanted to stand out in any way. Still introductions were due and Victoria kicked off from the Quel to meet their new adviser. "We would be them Mr. Scirocco. I am Lieutenant Victoria Sinclair, Gaspar flight lead."

Lynch had been in Pri-Fly as their Jovian merc made his landing. I swear, while its an impressive mobile suit, sometimes I wonder if they keep making them bigger to compensate for something. Says the man whose first assignment was a battleship... he thought, letting a faint half-smile cross his features at the thought. The last couple of days had been busy for him. His battle group hadn't borne the brunt of the orbital battle over Jaburo, and his order of battle had repaired, refit, and recovered their mobile suit det without incident when the latter had launched back to space. And then Jamitov sends us to deal with the bottom feeders. Anaheim... well, at least we're allegedly getting new units out of it he sighed, heading down towards the flight deck.
A small gathering of pilots were already down there, greeting the cocky SOB who climbed out of the cockpit in something that resembled a Titans uniform without actually being one. Sinclair spoke up, and Henry nodded along. "Indeed, Mr. Scirrocco. Welcome aboard the Cairo. I'm Captain Lynch" he said plainly.

Standing still, Julian watched as the pilot of the strange Mobile Armor descended to the floor of the hangar, joining the other pilots that had assembled there. So this was the mysterious 'man from Jupiter', the Jovian known as Paptimus Scirocco. His was a unique breed, with most Jovians never leaving the gas giant due to the incredible amount of time it would take to travel to the Earth Sphere. What had brought Scirocco to Earth? He couldn't imagine that it was a simple desire to be a mercenary or any sort of loyalty to the Earth Federation. Of the man himself, Julian could sense a definite sort of magnetism stemming from only the one sentence he said to the members of the Magi team. What he didn't know was if his feeling stemmed from the Jovian's charisma or some strange sense of dread.
Seeing that Victoria and the recently arrived Captain Lynch had taken up introducing the new arrival to the ship, Julian remained silent. For now he was more interested in simply observing this strange man.

From her high - relatively speaking - vantage point next to her QUEL’s head, Katharyn watched appraisingly as the mobile armor’s pilot descended. He was, she decided, a handsome enough individual, but there was something about his demeanor that Katharyn didn’t like. He seemed…arrogant. The outfit he wore was clearly tailored, and bore only the vaguest resemblance to a Titans uniform. ‘Good.’ she thought. ‘Only Titans get to wear that uniform. This guy’s not one of us, he’s just some hired gun.’
Still, as much as she disliked that mobile armor, she had to admit it appeared to be an impressive piece of machinery, and at least its design didn’t scream ZEON the way the Hizack or Marasai did - or, for that matter, the Galbaldy or that new model with the Rick Dom faceplate. After a while, she saw Captain Lynch appear, and nimbly pirouetted in midair and kicked off her QUEL’s head, descending towards the ground and turning as she did to land on her feet, some distance away from the mercenary, but close enough to hear what was going on.

"We would be them Mr. Scirocco. I am Lieutenant Victoria Sinclair, Gaspar flight lead." Paptimus bowed gracefully as he spoke. "You must forgive me. I didn't realize the Magi Squadron had someone so young, so vibrant, and so beautiful. The pleasure is all mine, Lieutenant.""Indeed, Mr. Scirrocco. Welcome aboard the Cairo. I'm Captain Lynch" Although Paptimus wasn't formally a part of the Titans, he did pay his proper respects by delivering the acting officer on the ship a sharp salute. "Captain Lynch- your reputation precedes you."The jovian spoke more plainly to the others. If this man was anything, he was at least polite. Daniel Gage watched the situation unfold with his arms defiantly folded. "I'm aware that I'm rather a nuisance at the moment- a mercenary on a ship full of soldiers dedicated to each other. I assure that these were non of my machinations. It is my deepest wish to earn your trust and sympathy during my time onboard."With his left hand on his hip, he gestured towards the hangar exit. "Before we get to the objections, I would like you to hear me out- what I am doing here and we should be doing shortly. Do we have a briefing room available- something away from the privy of men with fine ears and loose lips? This is merely a precaution."

“I guess you’re right Lt.” Jaime acknowledged. “But I don’t think I’ll ever look on a monoeye without some bad memories. After what we’ve seen, fighting fire with fire doesn’t sounds nearly as nasty as before.”
Any further discussion was disrupted as they received word of a new arrival. Jaime paused for a moment as he watched the others hurry past him to the hanger that he had just left moments ago, letting out an exasperated sigh. “It just figures, don’t it?” Shrugging, he joined the others, arriving slightly later than all the others.
In spite of his personal dislike of Zeon tech, and of monoeyes in general, Jaime couldn’t help but let out a low whistle at the sleek machine that pulled in. “How the fuck did a merc manage to get that all on his own?” He muttered under his breath as the man walked out.
The pilot’s impressively tailored uniform made him very conscious of the mechanics coveralls he was currently wearing. Jaime realized, belatedly, that he was now late and hurried in with a salute to Captain Lynch and, with some hesitation to the new mercenary.

A smile or smirk depending on your view quickly appeared on Victoria's face as he played the gentleman, although if the man was just a fop or something else would have to come with more telling interactions. "You flatter me, I'm hardly the vibrant type in my mind." Being cooped up in a mobile suit or in front of a computer was hardly a way to promote being a vibrant and beautiful person, but in the end it was the others judging that so who knew at this point. Still with a smile in place at the compliment and the brief little chatter Victoria was hopeful to keep things smooth.
Captain Lynch's arrival put her at ease however, she doubted anyone would act out in a way to make trouble with the Jovian just yet and with a watchful eye she hoped to avoid any unneeded complications. From what she could tell it was working, everyone was rather quiet around Paptimus baring the captain himself. This little tidbit about a briefing however quickly piqued Victoria's curiosity. "There is probably a ready room we could borrow, but unless the captain believes otherwise it should be fine to discuss it here." A glance towards Lynch signaled she was defaulting to him at this point, but again what could be this important or secretive that a mercenary had hold of it?

Lynch nodded back at Scirocco as the mercenary saluted. You don't salute civilians. Even if they're occupying a not terribly well defined job as the personal reps of the two flag officers in the Titans, you don't he thought, still not terribly comfortable with the merc aboard his ship. "Well, Mr. Scirocco, thank you" he replied. Lynch mentally rolled his eyes as the merc flirted with some of his female pilots. But other than that, he's being professional enough he thought, awarding points to Jamitov for his selection of at least a capable mercenary if he was going to use a merc. "The Ready Room is this way. Pilots, if you please" Lynch said, motioning the herd of aviators towards the spot.

"You flatter me, I'm hardly the vibrant type in my mind." "A beauty behind such armor is only a beauty, my Jeanne D'Arc. If you let me, I'll show you how to truly express yourself." "There is probably a ready room we could borrow, but unless the captain believes otherwise it should be fine to discuss it here." A glance towards Lynch signaled she was defaulting to him at this point, but again what could be this important or secretive that a mercenary had hold of it? "The Ready Room is this way. Pilots, if you please" "Splendid!"Their walk was short as it was uneventful. Paptimus occasionally glanced around- memorizing every corridor of the ship as he went. When they reached their destination, he got quickly to the point. A map of the moon showed up on the screen, by the request of the auxiliary officer. In it were several key marked locations- all thought to be AEUG hideouts. "As I'm sure you are all aware, Jamitov hired me to plan the upcoming attack on the AEUG. A war against the AEUG is a war that must be fought and won in outer space. In particular, the objective of what I dubbed Operation Apollo is nothing short of a simultaneous attack on key facilities that we are aware about. The Earth Federation has caved from external pressure- Anaheim shall inevitabily follow. It's our imperative to make sure they do."
"There is a caveat to this. Specifically, we have no means of judging the AEUG fighting strength on the moon and which of their factories they use to produce a retrofit warships. Furthermore, the occupation of Von Braun City is a must if we have any interest in forcing Anaheim to capitulate. This is where you come in."
"With your permission, Captain, I would like to borrow your crew for a little scouting expedition. We shall need to do some sightseeing to bring my plans to further fruition. I assure you that they will come back, unharmed and intact. It is my will. You have my word."He glanced at the others pilots- zeroing in on Julian as he spoke.

"The Ready Room is this way. Pilots, if you please" Katharyn listened to the conversation, keeping her expression neutral as Scirocco conversed with Lieutenant Sinclair and Captain Lynch. At the Captain's word, she began to step forward, falling in near the back of the group of pilots. She had noticed that Scirocco had been particularly obsequious in the way he had addressed Lieutenant Sinclair, and resolved to keep her distance as much as possible.'Wonderful. Not only a merc, but probably a damn womanizer to boot.' She thought. Still, she followed in silence, until they reached the ready room and she took a seat, again near the back. She studied the map of the moon on the display carefully, noting the indicated locations of probable enemy strongholds on the moon. And she listened. She liked the idea of a simultaneous attack on multiple fronts. 'Apollo? Artemis would've been a better name, I think. This is a hunt, after all.' she mused. But the pretty-boy mercenary brought up a good point: recon. They had to know their ground if they were going to strike. And she noticed that though he addressed Captain Lynch, he glanced and all of them in turn, and seemed to be paying inordinately close attention to Lieutenant Miller. She wondered what that was about, but said nothing, waiting for the Captain to respond.

Throughout the conversation between Scirocco and the members of Magi Team, Julian had chosen to remain silent. With things as they stood he couldn't quite be sure of this strange man's intentions. Even if he was an ally at the moment his status as a mercenary made him unpredictable. This Jovian wasn't answerable in the same way the rest of them were and Julian felt as if he was a person whose loyalty wasn't worth the paper his contract was written on.
Then again the Australian Lieutenant realized that he might be a bit too judgmental right off the bat. The events on Earth still rankled him, admittedly, and most likely meant he was being to harsh in his thoughts towards this 'Scirocco'. That didn't mean, however, that he could shake his ill feelings or like the way with which he began to flirt with the squadron's female members. Julian didn't care if this guy wasn't a real soldier, in the presence of the Titans he should act like one.
Following the group as they made their way to the empty Ready Room, Julian kept his eyes firmly on their guest's back. It was almost as if he was waiting for something, trying to make sure that he wasn't going to make any sudden or threatening moves. Once inside he kept his gaze focused on the man as he began to explain what his purpose was here on the ship and his plan for an upcoming mission. A coordinated strike on the AEUG would certainly pay them back for the fiasco at Jaburo but Julian's excitement did not surpass his unease at what this stranger might have in mind for his 'scouting mission' or the way that he seemed to be focusing much of his attention on him while he talked about it.
What is this guy getting at? What is he going to expect me to do?

A definitive gentleman or womanizer Victoria wasn't sure yet, but he definitely knew his words and liked to use them. More important things were afoot however, once at the room however Victoria quickly drank in the details of this little operation. "A spy mission, rather peculiar job for Titans." Victoria smirked at the novelty alone of having the unit wandering around as 'tourists'. "Are you expecting trouble to be there since you're asking for us to scout around?"

"Are you expecting trouble to be there since you're asking for us to scout around?" "We have agents on the Moon. What we've already been told is that these facilities are completely shut off from Von Braun, and are accessible only by land. That means we'll have to do the reconnaissance the old fashioned way: penetrate their safety nets, get a good look, and get out before they realize what's going on. The terrain is littered with craters and debris- making it just as easy for us to sneak in as it is for them to conceal their factories."

It was a somewhat odd sensation, no small amount due to the fact that Jaime was still in his muck stained coveralls standing in the ready room. For the first time ever, he was longing to be in his stiff, typically uncomfortable uniform. While he wasn’t exactly thrilled at the idea of a merc walking in and handing operations, seeing the man in a proper uniform and wearing it like he was born into it made Jaime feel distinctly out of place.
The problem was, in spite of his initial dislike on the basis of being a merc, it wasn’t a half bad plan.
“Ahhh…” Jaime raised a hand. “I don’t mean to state the obvious, but the sensor coverage is going to work both ways. If I’m half smart, and I’m hiding something, I have all manner of traps and guards ready to get set up the moment that a ship’s silhouette is on my scopes. Do we have a plan to get in that point without being detected other than “Fuck it, we’re going for it?””
